Emily has training in the Suzuki Piano Method since 2021. The Suzuki Method is a well-known and highly regarded system of teaching music founded by Shinichi Suzuki in the 1950s. The Primo Piano Course already takes much inspiration from the Suzuki Method. Therefore, Emily’s experience, insight and input at the school is highly valued. Emily previously has a wealth of experience working internationally as a nanny and is well-used to engaging and managing young minds!

Primo Piano and the Primo School of Music in Cardiff was founded in 2012 by Tim Riley.

At the outset, Tim conducted all the piano lessons himself and has gradually evolved a system of group teaching that combines some of the best practice from ‘one to one’ piano teaching along with more progressive group teaching techniques. He has over twenty five years of experience as a composer and arranger. He is continually writing new pieces and special arrangements of traditional melodies and classical tunes for our teaching partners to use exclusively for Primo Piano lessons.

With these strong foundations in place, Tim is currently working with a select group of experienced piano teachers who share his passion for group piano teaching. All teachers (who are already experienced piano teachers) working with Primo Piano receive full initial training, ongoing training and mentoring to ensure the highest standards.
