The Primo School of Music is on the top floor of the Mansion House at Insole Court, Llandaff

The Primo School of Music is tucked away on the top floor of the Mansion House at Insole Court in Llandaff, Cardiff.  In addition to being arguably one of the most inspiring locations to have a piano or singing lesson in Britain, our teachers and music students can make as much noise as they like without disturbing anyone!

Piano Pupil performs at the Annual RecitalThere’s ample, safe parking, an excellent cafe, beautiful gardens for children to roam and explore and recently we had a new lift installed to bring you to the top floor of this wonderful Grade II listed Victorian building without having to traipse up the ‘servant’s staircase’.

We believe that everyone enjoys learning with others so all of our activities take place in small, well organised groups whether it’s an advanced piano group with three teenage students or the Insole Court Community Choir which rehearses each week with more than forty adult members.

We currently offer the following activities (click on an activity for further details):

Piano teachers, guitar teachers and music students take part in the Primo Music Festival, Llandaff, CardiffBecause we run so many piano groups, we have lots of options for reorganising students to get the right children learning together. We also spend a lot of time working on how to support children’s learning at home with hundreds of useful videos accessible via our practice app which mean that students are always able to get assistance when practicing at home.
